Ask how

Help on every feature, and why your numbers are what they are.

Queries knows the product and your setup. Ask how to do something, or why a figure came out the way it did, from whatever page you are on.
Queries · on Laura Maynard’s timesheet
Why has Laura got 2h 30m overtime on Tuesday?
Laura clocked in at 07:28 and out at 18:04. Her Day shift is 08:00 to 16:00 with a 30-minute unpaid break, so the 30 minutes before the shift and 2h 04m after it count as worked.

Her pay policy rounds overtime to the nearest 15 minutes and pays it at time and a half after 7h 30m in the day, which gives 2h 30m.

Trust

Safe to hand to every manager.

Read-only, always
BY DESIGN
Queries can look, never touch. It cannot create, change or delete a single record, so there is nothing a mistyped question can break.
Permission-scoped
PER USER
Every data source checks the asker's timeware® permissions before it answers. A site manager asking about salaries gets a polite no, not a leak.
Honest when unsure
NO GUESSING
Answers state the filters they applied so a misread question is easy to spot, and if it can't answer, it says so rather than inventing a number.

Pass it straight to our support team.
Or just ring us. We are always at the end of the phone.
✓
Raise a ticket from the chat. Your conversation goes with it, with a plain-English summary of what you asked, the page you were on and what Queries checked.
✓
The summary never includes the figures, and you can edit or remove anything before it is sent.
✓
An unexplained error has Report this, which sends its reference straight to support.
Questions

Queries, answered.

What can I ask about?
Around fifty areas of the system: employees, leave, sickness, timesheets, worked hours, rosters, call-outs, roll call, training, compliance and more.
Do I need to learn a query language?
No. Questions are asked in plain English and answered in seconds.
Can everyone see everything?
No. Every answer is scoped by the asker’s permissions, exactly like the rest of timeware®.
Can it draw charts?
Yes. When a chart answers better than a table, you get a visualisation you can keep.
Does Queries save anything?
No. When it prepares a record it opens the real form filled in. You check it, change anything you like and save it yourself, with the same checks, permissions and audit trail as any other change.
Can we switch it off?
Yes. Your organisation decides which AI features its people can use: the assistant, Suggest, Reword and reply drafts can each be switched on or off, and health and safety records can be kept away from AI altogether.
